Tomorrow's Leaders NYC Created for Middle School & High school Students Who we Are Tomorrow’s Leaders NYC (TLNYC) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that was created to help over-age students overcome social, emotional, and academic challenges. We created programs to teach them to become positive and productive leaders of their community. IDEAS & CONCEPTS Founded in 2011 Our participants – students who have been held back in school one or more times – receive free services during both the school day program and after-school program that helps improve their course grades, leadership, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills. HOW DOES IT WORK? We Provide Tools TLNYC services include academic support, college/career readiness, mentoring, vocational/cultural excursions, SEL workshops, family support, and community service opportunities. TLNYC also works with General-Ed students. Our Vision We aim to improve the mental, social, and economic conditions of the black and brown communities that we serve. The way to ensure these outcomes is by using foundational community values and methods that include integrating people from the direct communities we serve along with constant exposure to aspects of life that will inspire youth to thrive as a whole.
