Gabrielle Braham Gabrielle Braham’s journey exemplifies the transformative impact of TLNYC. Initially, Gabby was reluctant to participate, struggling in group settings and hesitant to engage. However, through consistent one-on-one meetings with Christina, a TLNYC intern, Gabby began to trust the process and open up. With our Youth Advocate, Christina’s guidance and support, Gabby became a consistent participant in our after-school academic program, social outings, and our end-of-year celebration. As she built her confidence, Gabby achieved significant academic progress in her fourth marking period, raising her grades by 9 points in Math, 8 points in Science, and 15 points in English. Patrick Rodriguez Patrick's story is a testament to the life-changing impact of your support. Patrick has been part of TLNYC since his freshman year at Eagle Academy Harlem. Maleka Halley Maleka, once introverted and shy, has transformed into a confident and beautiful seed within Tomorrow’s Leaders NYC She has been a participant with TLNYC since the 8th grade and all throughout high school. Through community service events and vocational trips, she has blossomed and showcased her potential for success. With an impressive average of 91%, Maleka is well-prepared to enter college and pursue a career in nursing. Her dedication to her education and passion for helping others make her a standout candidate for success in the future. Dasani Johnson Dasani has also shown tremendous growth throughout her time in Tomorrow’s Leaders. She has been a participant with TLNYC since the 8th grade and all throughout high school. As a determined and independent young woman, she has taken on an internship at a healthcare facility in her community, showcasing her commitment to her future career in health management. With an average of 82%, Dasani has proven her academic abilities and determination to succeed in her chosen field. She is in her freshman year at Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC) where she is majoring in Liberal Arts.

Kareem Bellamy Kareem's encouraging journey is as an example of the impact your support creates When Kareem joined the program, he struggled with staying focused in class and often felt disconnected. It was clear he needed additional support. Through mentorship and personalized guidance from our interns, Kareem learned practical tools to stay engaged and overcome distractions. As the year progressed, Kareem flourished. He bonded with his peers, graduated from eighth grade, and actively participated in our basketball tournament, where his enthusiasm and teamwork shone. Benjamin Esteves A seventh grader, known for his humor and positive personality, struggling to stay focused and consistent. Although he maintained good grades, his habit of procrastinating on assignments and his ADHD made staying focused a challenge. With the help of our program, Benjamin received strategies to break his work into manageable tasks and learned how to stay on track in class. Through personalized guidance, Benjamin raised his GPA and connected with peers across schools, forming lasting friendships. He also developed a strong bond with his mentor, helping him become more open and engaged over time. By eighth grade, Benjamin’s hard work paid off, he graduated and gained admission to one of his top-choice high schools.
