Toyin Ayanfodun

Oluwatoyin (Toyin) Ayanfodun grew up in Brooklyn, NY and spent several years working with inner-city youth in non-profit and educational settings. Based on his experiences, Toyin realized there were few services for over-age students and so in 2011, he founded Tomorrow's Leaders NYC to provide support to over-aged students to graduate high school and become career ready. Since its inception, TLNYC has created a support model for over-aged students with demonstrated results, fundraised over $7 million and supported over 4,000 students to become productive members of their community.

Toyin earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Temple University in 2008 with a minor in Entrepreneurship. He also holds a certification in Non-Profit Management from Medgar Evers College School of Continuing Education. In 2015, Toyin was named as an Echoing Green Fellow. This prestigious award provided funding to TLNYC in its early stage and globally recognized Toyin as an impactful social entrepreneur. Toyin and TLNYC have been featured in a number of media platforms and publications including ABC 7 New York, Way Up with Angela Yee, NBC, Huffington Post and Forbes.
