Our Brooklyn site hosted EmpowerHER 2026, connecting young women with professional clothing, beauty services, career resources, and community support. In Queens, students helped lead our Job, Career & Resource Fair, bringing together employers, colleges, trade schools, community organizations, and local residents to share opportunities and resources.
Students also stepped into their roles as community leaders—partnering with TrashTalk for an East New York neighborhood cleanup, volunteering and helping distribute food and essential resources through our Grab & Go initiatives, and learning firsthand about civic leadership through visits with local elected officials.
And because exposure creates possibility, students explored what their futures could look like through visits to the College of Staten Island, Saint Paul’s School of Nursing, and Brooklyn Chop House, where they learned about pathways in higher education, healthcare, entrepreneurship, and beyond. These experiences are part of how TLNYC helps young people build confidence, discover opportunities, serve their communities, and see themselves as tomorrow’s leaders.
