Our JourneyCheck out highlights below from our most recent Basketball Invitational and Assist to Achieve events.10 Years Strong....In 2026, We kicked off our 10th Annual Tomorrow’s Leaders NYC Invitational Basketball Tournament. This year, we had 19 middle schools (boys and girls teams) from around New York City participating. This year’s theme is community and student engagement. Throughout the tournament, teams participated in community engagement activities and student athlete workshops. For this year’s tournament, we are also honoring the legacy of the coach and basketball legend Kenny Jones a.k.a. ”Kenny Kings” who passed away in March 2026. Kenny Jones was a well known basketball coach in Brooklyn who was the featured spotlight in the 1997 film "Soul in the Hole" documentary that focused on Brooklyn summer basketball leagues in the 90s. Since 2022, Kenny coached Middle School 113 and won our middle school championship the following year. Kenny was an advocate and supporter of the work of our organization and will be missed by TLNYC and the New York City basketball community.
